United Stage Equipment, Inc. is a full line, in-house manufacturer of stage rigging and draperies as well as pew, chair and kneeler cushions.

USE, Inc. has manufactured and installed a full line of quality stage curtains, rigging components and related hardware for over 70 years. Hubert Mitchell founded the company in 1927 as Hubert Mitchell Industries. At his retirement in 1962 he sold the company to his brother, Billy D. Mitchell, and son-in-law, George Howell. The company was subsequently incorporated and renamed United Stage Equipment, Inc.

After Mitchell's retirement in 1982, Howell continued to operate the business until his death in 1985. The business remained in the family and in 1987, Howell's son and Hubert Mitchell's grandson, Buzz Howell, became it's chief operating officer.
